TA-DA! Co-founder and Music Director Jesse Lewis Nominated for Two Grammy Awards
LOS ALTOS, Calif., Jan. 15, 2021 /TA-DA! Language Productions, Inc./ –– It is with great pleasure we announce that Jesse Lewis, TA-DA!’s music director and co-founder, has been nominated for two awards for the 63rd Grammys. Lewis has received nominations for Producer of the Year, Classical for his body of work, and for Best Engineered Album, Classical for his work with Devonté Hynes and Third Coast Percussion on their album Hynes: Fields.
The Grammys Awards is the biggest event in the music industry and the 63rd Grammy Awards recognize excellence in music released in late 2019 and 2020. Prior to this year’s nomination, Lewis already collected four Grammy Awards.
Growing up in Seattle, WA playing trumpet and cello, today, Lewis produces some of the most adventurous recordings in the world, from groundbreaking classical music to specialized projects between genres and disciplines. One of his latest passions and pursuits is cofounding TA-DA! –– an EdTech startup bringing original music, diverse languages and cultures to children around the world.
As a father to two bilingual kids in a multicultural household, Lewis personally relates to parents seeking an effective way for their children to learn and love language and integrating music into children’s early development. “Music, being our first language, creates boundless opportunities to heighten kids’ senses and grow their capacity to absorb and reproduce language,” says Jesse Lewis. “Even singing songs together with your child, with or without words, stimulates language learning centers of the brain, speeding up children’s interpretation of the subtle sounds of language.”
Combining the passion for music and language learning, Jesse Lewis and the TA-DA! team created TA-DA! interactive talking books. Produced by a talented, musical team, including Jesse Lewis, Kip Jones, Joe Walsh, and banjo legend Béla Fleck, every piece of music in TA-DA!’s books is brand-new and original, composed with great care and attention.
