TA-DA! Language Productions Announces Partnership with the Campuses of the National Autonomous University of Mexico at San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and San Antonio, Texas
LOS ALTOS, Calif., August 4, 2020 /TA-DA! Language Productions, Inc./ -- TA-DA! Language Productions today announced a new partnership with the campuses of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) at San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and San Antonio, Texas. TA-DA! will work with faculty members and language experts from UNAM to develop a number of innovative talking books in Spanish for young learners in the U.S. Their first collaboration includes the state-of-the-art Spanish Talking Dictionary to bring authentic Spanish and Mexican culture to children aged 6-14.
TA-DA! will be working with multilingual faculty members who have expertise in Spanish language and world language instruction from the UNAM San Miguel de Allende and UNAM San Antonio campuses. With their help, TA-DA! will create culturally relevant illustrations, record native voices, and introduce 720 + vocabulary words in a single book. Children will read, hear, learn, play, and never forget nearly 1,000 essential Spanish words found in and around a house.
“One of the best ways to bring together countries is through language education that goes beyond knowing the language on a linguistic level. We need to understand the meaning and cultural behavior behind every word,” said Dr. Javier de la Fuente, director of UNAM San Miguel. “In TA-DA!, we have found a leader that shares this philosophical approach, and we are certain that this will be the beginning of a very strong and fruitful collaboration. Thank you, Michelle Glorieux… and your fantastic team for inviting us to be part of this wonderful endeavor!”
“It has been shown that children who are exposed early to other languages, display more positive attitudes toward the cultures associated with those languages. The experience of learning a language introduces them to the world in ways they might otherwise have not experienced,” said Dr. José Antonio Vela, director of UNAM San Antonio. “That is why at UNAM San Antonio we celebrate the efforts of TA-DA! to bring innovative publications in several languages, including Spanish, to children of the world, and we are proud to collaborate in this endeavor.”
“Ensuring accurate and authentic presentation of the language and culture is crucial to everything TA-DA! creates,” says Michelle Glorieux, CEO and founder of TA-DA! Language Productions. “It’s a great honor to be able to work with a prestigious university like UNAM. We hope this book will take us one step closer to bridge the cultural gap. I look forward to working with the faculty experts at UNAM to make language learning accessible for our children.”
With the help of revolutionary and seamless paper technology, TA-DA! Talking Books bring native speakers and original music to kids with the touch of a finger on normal paper. The revolutionary Talking Dictionary offers nearly 800 touchpoints and 10,000+ audio assets in each book. This “all in one” physical book features 10 beautifully illustrated scenes around a typical Mexican house, hi-fi sound (8x better sound quality than other sound books), up to 15 randomized native speakers per word, gamification, original sound, and an integrated headphone jack.
The Spanish Talking Dictionary is expected to be publicly available in 2021.
About TA-DA! Language Productions
TA-DA! (https://www.tadalp.com) was created to inspire children to explore the magic of language. TA-DA! believes language learning for children should be immersive and fun. Children should have a way to interact with native speakers no matter what languages their family speaks; they should be able to embark as early as possible; and it should be accessible without screens in the early years. TA-DA! magically weaves paper technology, art, words, storytelling, sound, and music to bring native speakers to children so that they may learn languages & culture in a fun, new way.
