Educator Tips:

  • Support their creativity by focusing on fun, not perfection.

  • Offer fun tools like jumbo crayons, washable markers, or even a splash of glitter paint to make art time extra special.

  • Pair the coloring pages with cut-outs from magazines or newspapers in the target language. It adds more hands-on time with the language while making their artwork even more fun and layered.

PAPER PLAY

Zoo-Themed Paper Dolls: A Fun Way to Play and Learn!

These paper dolls are designed to match A Funny Day at the Zoo from the Language Adventure series, offering more screen-free, joyful ways to bring new vocabulary to life.

Ideas for Play and Learning with Them:

1. Build a Zoo Scene: Use a cardboard box to create a zoo background for your paper animals—let kids design, decorate, and bring their zoo to life!

2. Get Tactile: Find fabric or materials that match each animal’s skin or fur, and decorate the paper dolls to turn them into textured, cloth-like creations.

3. Make Language Fun: Help children write the target vocabulary word on the back of each animal. Use the TA-DA! Talking Book to hear the word pronounced by native speakers and check the spelling as they play.

These activities encourage imagination, creativity, and deeper interaction with new vocabulary—making language learning joyful, meaningful, and unforgettable!
