"Agatha", Moscow, Russia 🇷🇺

My name is Agatha. I don’t know why my parents decided to give me this name, but I like it and it is kinda rare so I feel unique.

I am 14 years old and I study in 9th grade.

I live in Moscow, it is a capital of Russia. This city is always very busy, there are many historical and cultural places and of course it is very beautiful, but my heart belongs to Saint Petersburg. This city with its atmosphere, culture, architecture and history is breathtaking for me. I can fully enjoy myself only there.

My native language is Russian but in my school we also learn English and French. 

In Russia most of time it is cold. We have four seasons and 3 of them are quiet cold. But Russia is very big and in some places there are very cold all year and even on the south there are pretty warm even in winter.

My country has very diverse landscape. In the west we have many plains and some hills. In the east there are many forests and our country has many beautiful lakes and amazing mountains. We have rivers. I live on the riverbank of Moscow river. Also some cities are located near seas.  Russia is washed by 13 seas.

Nowadays I can try so many different dishes so I just can’t name one that I like most of all. I like pizza, pasta, ice cream, cakes and pies. Actually I like most of food in this world.

To be honest our country is not rich in traditional food. But we have a few delicious dishes. I think most of them are similar to dishes of other cuisines. For example one of my favorite dishes is “pelmeni” they look like ravioli but with meat inside.

Usually I just go to school, spend time with friends and family, do my after school activities. Sometimes I go to cinema, theatre, museum or something like this.

Now I feel free to try new hobbies. So I have started cooking few days ago. Also I study, do my homework, read a lot, play with my brother and chat with friends.

I have many hobbies: cooking, reading and playing in theatre. Usually I go to my theatre classes two times a week. I have many activities there such as stage movement, acting, singing and others.

I think that there are many different ways to spend time in my country. Most of my friends like to watch videos on TikTok and YouTube, play video games. Some like to go to shopping malls, cinemas and museums. And some like to walk in parks.

My dad works in the IT company and my mom usually does home chores, plans vacations, helps my brother in education and does many different important things.

 I love my family and friends, also I love my guinea pig. Also I love reading, cooking, drawing and of course playing in theatre .

Three words in my language: Comfort, warm, love and freedom. So, “lubov’” means love, “nadezhda” is hope and “kartoshka” is potato.
